I am very happy we decided to work with Primavera to organize our wedding this past summer. My husband and I just wanted a simple civil ceremony at the municipal building in Bled, so I thought I could arrange everything myself. But I was living in the US at the time, and the more I looked into the process to set up an officially recognized wedding in Slovenia, I realized it was going to be a bit more complex than I originally thought. There are several steps before a date can be booked with the Registrar, and since the date we wanted to marry had special significance, I knew we would need help submitting paperwork to secure the date. I contacted Primavera and Agni responded quickly. From then on, Agni was always on top of things, helping me understand the documents I needed to send over and answering questions quickly. We met with Ksenija prior to the wedding to sign more official forms at a meeting and she was there to make sure our entry and exit songs were played at the ceremony.
Although we only chose to do the basic package of organizing documents and booking the ceremony itself (no flowers, hair/makeup, transportation, reception, etc), I would definitely recommend Primavera for any couples planning a wedding in Slovenia. Our experience was one of warm professionalism.

We came across Bled after seeing a friend’s holiday photos and we thought it would be the perfect place to get married – with a lake, a castle, a church on an island and mountains in the background it’s hard to find anywhere more picturesque!
We knew that it would be a challenge to organise the wedding ourselves as we had never been to Slovenia before and felt that it would be more beneficial to have the help of an expert who knows the local area and local suppliers well and would be able to guide us along the way. As we were getting married within a year of getting engaged we wanted the process to be as smooth and quick as possible and using a wedding planner was definitely the right decision.
We looked online for wedding planners and found a couple in Bled. Primavera were the first to get back to us and their initial proposal package looked most suited to our needs and budget and it was also quite flexible as we could pick and choose the things that we wanted. From our first conversations with Ksenija we knew we were in safe hands – she was helpful, professional and quick to respond to all of our questions. We had arranged a quick Skype call to go through some more detailed questions and then arranged to fly to Bled to visit some venues and we had a pre-wedding meeting with Ksenija whilst we were there which really settled any nerves we had about getting married somewhere completely new to us.
Once we returned to the UK we were in constant contact with Agni, our fantastic wedding planner. She created a Google document for us which we added all of our ideas and requests to and all of the dates of when we had to complete things by (e.g. choose flowers, send over deposits for venues etc.) were included in this making the whole process so easy as everything was in one place and we knew when we had to make decisions on key elements of the wedding.
Throughout the whole of the planning stages we felt like we were in safe hands. Any bumps we had along the way were resolved by Agni without us needing to worry and she was so helpful when we had any additional requests and answered all of our endless questions quickly and gave us lots of options and suggestions for the day itself. We felt totally at ease throughout the process and knew that if anything did go wrong in the run up or on the day itself that Primavera would step in and fix it without us needing to worry.
Thankfully our wedding day ran smoothly but we know this was all down to Primavera! Ksenija was there by our sides and in the background throughout the day making sure that everything was set up and running on time. She was great at making sure we knew what was going on and when we had to move on to the next part of the day. The entire Primavera team on the day were so helpful, from distributing button holes to making sure the groom didn’t trip up on his new wife’s wedding dress whilst carrying her up the stairs on the island!
We’re so pleased that we decided to use Primavera as our wedding planners – we really did have our dream wedding and it was even better than we ever imagined possible and we know that this is down to the excellent work of Primavera. We couldn’t have asked them to a better job in the run up or on the day itself and we’re so thankful that they were able to help us achieve the wedding that we wanted.

Primavera Bled did a terrific job picking the right people to coordinate with. Their hotel suggestion to stay at Villa Istra was fantastic. The staff there were majorly accommodating and we would recommend anyone staying in Bled to at least spend a night at that magical boutique hotel. To start off the big day my makeup was the best it’s ever been in my life, and my hair was done perfectly. Both artists showed up professionally dressed and on time. The florist they chose created my ideal bouquet and even made it more beautiful than the example picture I provided. My videographers did an amazing job and were a joy to work with the end result videos were phenomenal and I couldn’t ask for a better momentous way to capture the entire day of events. Primavera Bled found me a photographer from London who was very energetic with a magnetic personality, and was even able to capture some award winning shots of us! Our transportation from location to location was very well coordinated and we were able to get so much in throughout the day. The musicians at the ceremony played magnificently I could have listened to them for hours! The officiant was very authentic to the Slovenian culture and made everything come together for our overseas elopement.
Primavera Bled put all of the details of the plan together and somehow even kept away the thunderstorms until after we said I’ Do. I thoroughly appreciate all that they did for me and my husband as we didn’t have anyone able to make the trip across the world with us. As a personal touch, the ladies of Primavera Bled and Vila Istra helped me get into my 10 pound corset dress, and the videography/ photography men even acted in the role of my bridesmaids when I had to bustle up my dress in 7 places. The videographers even let us use his personal phone WiFi connection so that we could contact our parents after the ceremony to include them in our big day. All in all, weddings are stressful, but you can trust that those at Primavera Bled are the experts in planning and can execute your dreams flawlessly.

I first came to Bled as a child, during a family holiday, and I was enchanted by the fairytale scenario of the place. I clearly remember thinking “If I ever get married when I grow up, I would like to get married in a place just like this”.
A number of year passed, and I finally met my soulmate. By that time, I was living in Milan, and when we decided to tie the knot, organizing the whole thing seemed to be an overwhelming task. In addition to this, Milan was not my city of birth nor my husband’s… so we didn’t feel it was a special enough place for our day.
I proposed a visit to Bled and as soon as my fiancée saw the place he agreed it was the perfect spot. Still, there was a lot to set up and we were kind of concerned about long-distance organization. Luckily, when browsing the web, I came across Primavera Bled, read some positive reviews and decided to get in touch with them. We started scheduling everything via email: everything seemed to go smoothly, they sounded very professional, but to be 100% honest I was a bit concerned because I know I am very demanding person and I wanted everything to be plain perfect.
One month prior to the Big Day, we spent a weekend in Bled to see how things were getting on and I have to say, five minutes after meeting the coordinator, all my concerns were gone. The coordinator was so professional, caring, and polite that I immediately knew we had put ourselves in the best hands.
Primavera staff is really well skilled and truly heartwarmingly friendly, they’re willing to help even with the smallest details, you can tell they really care about your satisfaction. We had the most romantic ceremony up in the castle, our guests were astonished by the beauty of the place and the flawless organization.
After that, my husband and I took a horse and carriage around the lake to shoot pictures, while we gave our guests some time off to get ready for dinner. To follow, we held a gala dinner at Vila Bled: the location itself is so magnificent it cannot be described by words. We were served some chilled wine and then the proper dinner: the staff provided an impeccable service, the food was superb and the atmosphere was the best ever! After dinner we had a DJ and everybody had the time of their lives, from my 5 year old cousin to my nagging old aunts. I WARMLY recommend Primavera Bled to anyone who’s considering Bled a location for their dream day, they will simply exceed your best expectations.

When Nick and I went on our first holiday together as a new couple it was to the picture perfect Lake Bled. We went to the beautiful Church of the Assumption of Mary and I rang the wishing bell… I made a silent wish to one day be married here to Nick – I never thought that my wish would come true!

When I was 12 years old I travelled to Slovenia with my family who had a conference to attend. I remember the moment we all set our eyes on the picturesque Lake Bled; it looked like something magical, from a fairytale. I dreamed (as every little girl does) of one day being a beautiful bride there. After that first trip, I came back on many occasions, visiting with family and friends.
15 years later, my wonderful husband Alex asked me to marry him and was a little surprised at my response, ‘Yes of course! But only if we can marry at Lake Bled!’ After seeing our family photos, he understood why and we married on the 21st of June this year.
Organising a wedding overseas would have been too difficult from Australia without the help of a wedding planner. Choosing Primavera Bled was an easy decision for us. They had excellent reviews, they were prompt and detailed in their correspondence and spoke at length with us over Skype conferences. In the months and then days leading up to the wedding, our wedding consultant took care of everything – nothing was ever too much trouble, including locating a nail technician at the very last minute! We were shown the registry office and were able to meet with the castle manager to plan out our wedding dinner. We also had make-up and hair trials for the wedding party. The hair and make up specialists ensured that everything was exactly how we wanted.
Our day was absolutely perfect. With the help of Primavera team, our hair and makeup specialists and all of the camera and videographer crew (there were many!) everyone was able to relax and just enjoy the beautiful occasion. Everything was timed perfectly, moving from the registry to the island to the castle without feeling stressed or rushed.
Primavera Bled provide an incredibly professional and polished service while always being friendly and sensitive. We have continued our correspondence with Primavera Bled as they work with the videographer and photographer to finish our pieces. Thanks to Primavera Bled we had the most perfect of weddings in the most perfect of places–more perfect than any 12 year-old girl could ever dream of.
